I recently learned about these 2 services offered by several carriers, including Vivo, but I was not successful in enabling them because I am not considered a qualified customer.

For those who do not know, here is a quick explanation of each service:

  • WiFi Calling or WiFi Voice: a service used to make or receive calls over Wi-Fi in places where phone signal does not exist or has interference.
  • VoLTE: a service that uses the 4G network to make calls clearer and more stable.

The carrier's response to a complaint I made through Anatel was:

"We clarify that the WiFi Calling or Vivo Voz WiFi service is being made available to postpaid customers (individuals and companies) to make and/or receive calls via Wi-Fi. The service is temporarily unavailable for prepaid and Controle customers. The VoLTE service is available for prepaid lines, but it is incompatible with the Vivo Easy service."

Since then, I still disagree with their position on WiFi Calling. In places where signal coverage is poor, this service would make consumers' lives much easier.

This is already the second complaint I have written here about the carrier. I admit that to this day I do not know why I still use their services. Everything is very hard to solve, with total disregard for customers. Reclame Aqui has several complaints from me with no response.
